As the first English EMBA programme in the Chinese mainland to award dual degrees with a global orientation, Tsinghua-INSEAD EMBA (TIEMBA) has been at the forefront of the Financial Times Global EMBA Top 100 List and QS joint programme ranking  for many consecutive years. This year TIEMBA once again claimed the third globally.


2022 marks the seventh time that TIEMBA has landed in the top three positions, and the programme's ninth appearance among the top five, which indicates the prominent position of TIEMBA as leading EMBA programme in the world as well as being a testament to Tsinghua and INSEAD's strengths and global reach.


FT ranking methodology takes account of 15 indicators under 3 categories including career progress, school diversity and research/ESG (ESG stands for environment, social responsibility and corporate governance). TIEMBA stands out globally on the indicators of Salary Today, Career Progress Rank, International Course Experience and International Students, and consistently improves in criteria of research and gender diversity.


The TIEMBA programme runs across Beijing, Shenzhen, Singapore, Fontainebleau and Abu Dhabi, providing unparalleled multicultural perspectives and insights into some of the most dynamic regions in the world. The programme relies on its strong faculty, an international and diverse student composition, and a unique combination of the advantages of INSEAD as a leading global business school and the strengths of Tsinghua as a comprehensive university. Since 2018, TIEMBA has upgraded the curriculum, and created new programme content around four dimensions of 'Global thinking', 'China depth', 'Management core' and 'Future business', integrated global vision with business practice in China, and led students to grow into business leaders with both innovation-awareness and corporate social responsibility in the new business and economic context of the world.



As a global EMBA programme emphasizing international exposures, TIEMBA is definitely facing challenges with the pandemic and various global uncertainties. TIEMBA community has nonetheless persevered, innovated, and drew on strong global connections to continue to provide a highly ranked EMBA education. Both schools have made great investments and efforts to launch hybrid teaching solutions to make sure students can make the most of their studies even under this tough situation. TIEMBA has operated as usual in the last two years.


Since its launch in 2007, the programme has accumulated over 600 alumni from 49 different countries and regions in Asia, Europe, America, Oceania, and Africa. The students come from diverse industry backgrounds of finance, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and energy. 90 percent of students are in management positions at multinational businesses, and 35 percent of them are female. On 31 August 2022, TIEMBA welcomed its 16th cohort made up of 35 high-achieving executives.
